JOB DUTIES:
1. Typically manages a team of IT developers. Provides management of personnel related activities. Coordinates on hiring actions. Performs training, scheduling, performance appraisals, compensation analyses and other related tasks.
2. Provides technical leadership in the planning, designing, development, testing, implementation and maintenance of IT solutions.
3. Manages the financial processes related to unit, project or product/component budgets. 4. Ensures the delivery of quality product. Monitors the status of projects. Coordinates with customers to ensure business needs are met. Negotiates solutions to issues and problems.
5. Participates in planning sessions involving equipment, hardware and procedural changes to fully exploit information technology solutions and ensure that industry best practices are implemented.
6. ENTRANCE QUALIFICATIONS: Typically, the jobs that could qualify for movement into this position are: IT Lead programmer.

Minimum Requirements:
IT related college degree or related experience.

Preferred Experience:
Experience with component and product forecast management and knowledge of project management discipline. Experience directing availability and process improvement initiatives. Demonstrated understanding of server and mainframe platforms. Demonstrated self-development. College degree in Computer Science or related discipline or equivalent work experience.

Demonstrated leadership skill to direct a team of technical support professionals. Experience in leading complex and highly technical projects. Strong personal work ethic and ability to manage large and varied workloads. Excellent interpersonal, coaching, mentoring and communication skills. Sound judgment and decision making skills. Ability to develop technical, financial and business plans involving broad business impact.
