JOB DUTIES
1. Working with business partners and management, leads efforts to identify the appropriate application of technology to solve business needs. Reviews, critiques and finalizes detailed requirements and specification documents.
2. Leads the development and review of Requests for Proposal. Serves as the subject matter expert in the technical evaluation of products and services available in the marketplace. Makes recommendations concerning acquisition or internal development.
3. Leads in analyzing, designing, developing, testing, debugging and implementing new systems or modifications to existing systems.
4. Monitors trends in systems discrepancies and failures. Determines solutions and assigns corrective actions to minimize business impact and avoid future exposure.
5. Actively mentors technology personnel to promote knowledge growth within USAA"s workforce.

Minimum Requirements:
IT related college degree or equivalent experience. Experience with and/or understanding of:
* Speech-enabled Interactive Voice Response (IVR) technology and application design.
* Voice User Interface (VUI) technology and application design.
* Natural Language Understanding (NLU) technology and application design.
* Websphere technology and application design.
* Back-end databases and metrics/reporting technologies.
* Telecommunication and Computer Telephony Integration (CTI) technologies.
* Contact(Call) Center and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) technologies.
* Agile/Iterative software development methods.
* Structured project delivery experience in a collaborative and constantly changing environment.
* Proficiency with MS Excel, MS Visio, and MS SQLServer.
