JOB DUTIES: Provides data and database management expertise in the development and
maintenance of data required by USAA.
Performs logical modeling, physical design, implementation and maintenance of complex databases to meet business, data requirements and technical requirements.
Implements and maintains databases in one or more mainframe, UNIX or Intel based environments.
Analyzes projects with respect to access methods, access time, partitioning and indexing.
Develops and maintains repeatable
processes that maintain organization, security, and data integrity.
Provides data consulting and database expertise.
Involved in the integration, evaluation and acquisition of data management tools across the
enterprise.
Evaluates, modifies, tests, debugs, and integrates vendor-supplied data modeling/design tools.
Implements, maintains, enhances and supports data management processes and documentation, to support overall business goals and ensure maximum availability of data systems.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
IT related degree or equivalent experience.

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:
Familiarity with multiple operating systems, particularly Solaris, Linux and Windows.
Exposure to any Documentum Products.
Additional database knowledge, such as Oracle.
Ability to write SQL statements.
Ability to script in PERL or Shell programs to assist in processing and monitoring environments.
