1. Identifies the appropriate application of technology to solve business needs. Develops detailed requirements and specification documents.
2. Participates in the development and review of Requests for Proposal. Develops business and technical criteria to be used in the evaluation of products in the marketplace.
3. Applies technical expertise in analyzing, designing, developing, testing, debugging and implementing new systems or modifications to existing systems. Applies an advanced knowledge of system environments, databases and
utilities in the development process.
4. Identifies and analyzes system and application problems. Determines solutions and takes appropriate action to resolve the problem and avoid a reoccurrence.
5. Guides, mentors and fosters growth of peers and less knowledgeable individuals.

Minimum requirements:
Three to five years experience in application development, technical analysis, administration support of web-based systems and solution implementation into a production environment (Websphere Application Server or MQ,) Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills. Experience in leading teams in identifying technical problems, troubleshooting and solution implementation. Self-motivated, team oriented and able to operate with minimal supervision. Knowledge of Systems Management concepts, design, installation and technical troubleshooting. Excellent organizational and customer service skills. Ability to work in a team environment and produce deliverable according to plan an organizational objectives.

Preferred:
Working knowledge of UNIX, an IT background including experience in development and/or configuration management, and management of IT Systems and/or Websphere support. Also, Technical Project Management, and/or leading groups in an technical Operations environment is preferred.
