A technical designer familiar with Java and Cobol development. This person must be able to create application prototypes based on design documentation. They must also be able to write technical design documentation, using UML, based on the prototype and business design. The designer is responsible for:Overseeing the application from design to implementation Communicating statuses to management Providing estimates of effort Answering design related questions from developers Working with Quality Assurance to form accurate test plans This person will also be responsible for conducting code reviews and assigning incoming defects based on application testing.Preferred Skills:Object Oriented Programming (OOP) Java, JSP, Servlets, JavaScript, and AJAX XML, HTML, UML Cobol, CICS, SQL (DB2) Rational Application Developer or Eclipse experience Mercury Test Director Other SkillsX Analytical Skills Identify and/or resolve technical issues X Design, develop, and test components X Review technical application design, code and documentation Develop unit and system test cases X Develop design and program documentation Familiarity with SOX compliance Education/Experience:
Bachelor s Degree 5+ years of Software Development or Support 3+ years of Application Design
