10x Technology is an emerging, venture-backed company commercializing advanced materials. The company designs and manufactures micro- and nano-structured polymer substrates for a range of applications including bio-medical components, LED enhancers, RFIDs and solar concentrators.
Position Description:
10x Technology is currently recruiting engineers who will work on the development and commercialization of next generation polymer substrates. Candidates will be involved with prototyping customer applications as well as designing, building and maintaining production lines and process equipment.
Responsibilities:
Consult with customers on design and prototype optical, biomedical and other of micro-structured and nano-structured products. Design and install patent-pending production lines used to manufacture micro and nano-structured polymer substrates. Establish quality and maintenance programs for process equipment and make recommendations to improve their performance. Implement lease-hold and operational improvements. Assist with safety, material handling, and quality programs.
Critical Skills:
Engineering Degree - BS or MS - Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical CAD skills to design next generation processing equipment and improve operational efficiency of existing equipment. Assist overall plant design as operations expand. Project management and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Communicate equipment designs to vendors for bid and fabrication. Oversee delivery and installation of equipment modifications. Positive attitude and strong desire to be part of an entrepreneurial venture.
