TITLE: Sales Manager Oil Gas LOCATION: Houston or Dallas, TX THE COMPANY:Our client is a world leader in consulting and information technology services. Resource, Energy and Utilities Business Unit is a focus group targeting 3 distinct vertical segments of Resources: Chemicals, Industrial Manufacturing, Agriculture, Construction, Mining and Metals Energy: Oil Gas Exploration and Production, Refining, Marketing, Storage and Transportation, Retail and Distribution, Trading, Alternative Energy Sources Utilities: Electric, Gas and Water Utilities and Utilities Services RESPONSIBILITIES: Create a focused market strategy towards opening and growing named accounts in the Oil and Gas (Energy) sub-vertical. Pro-active sales activities in partnership with engagement managers and other pre-sales resources, to convert suspects into customers for named Tier-1 Oil and Gas accounts. Primary owner of the Opportunity Development Process: Prospect, Evaluate, Propose and Close. After the account is opened, it will get transitioned to the engagement management stream in a few months time. o Pricing negotiations support deal structure and pricing with business value analysis; evaluate competitors; negotiate prices for solutions and /or pilot projectso Solution launch and delivery: align technical team and customer sponsors to ensure delivery is prioritized on early achievement of business value.o Business metric measurement: continuous tracking of customer value realization; recommend methods to improve financial impact. Form peer relationships with client personnel at the CXO level. Follow-up with prospects with the objective of moving discussions to proposals. Work with pre-sales to craft suitable solutions and compelling proposals Showcase capabilities, value, relationships and governance in all interactions Take Go-to-Market Solutions to the target market (Oil Gas) Develop customer sponsors, identify influencers and decision makers Position solutions in the context of a customer s business objectives Map technology solutions to value levers and identify key operational metrics QUALIFICATIONS:
12-15 years of overall experience Sales Executive/Professional with a minimum of 8 years in IT Consulting Solutions or Professional Services sales in a Fortune 500 environment Must have experience selling to the Oil Gas industry
Person must be comfortable and experienced in opening and developing new accounts Consistent track record of overachievement against quota
Ability to conduct industry and customer analysis: identifying pain points Person must be well networked and have dealt/interacted successfully with CXOs of leading oil and gas organizations Knowledge of value chain- ability to get market value for our services. Ability to define specific solutions within abstract environment Global Delivery Model experience a plus Some travel will be required MBA or equivalent preferred
COMPENSATION:Base salary + bonus + commission on billed revenues
