Designs and develops applications-level software and provides systems support.

Responsibilities:

Responsible for overall architecture, design, implementation, launch, and support of a development team engaged in development and site operations for the agent desktop application. Analyzes the performance of hardware and software interfaces and identifies alternatives for optimizing the usage of computer resources. Develops recommendations based on analysis. Applies generally accepted programming standards and techniques to assure efficient program logic and data manipulation. Participates in designing, coding, testing, debugging, configuring, and documenting operating systems and software. Analyzes and participates in reviews of software requirements to determine feasibility of design within time and cost constraints. Develops or provides work estimates based on analysis of requirements. Consults with hardware engineers and other engineering staff to evaluate interface between hardware and software, and operational and performance requirements of overall system. Consults with product and customer experience teams concerning maintenance of software system. Develops alternative system and software designs. Recommends selection, approval, and acquisition of hardware, software, networking components, and services. Communicates regularly or as needed to customer on progress of work products, deliverables and overall project status.

Qualifications
BS in Computer Sciences or related field or related, relevant experience.

5+ years experience in development.

Experience in a fast-paced environment. Start-up or internet exposure valuable.

Experience with Moderate to strong experience with Struts, Spring, Hibernate ORM, J2EE, Ant, JUnit; OOAD and Patterns; Linux; Python, Ruby, or other scripting language; Service-oriented architectures.

Must possess comprehensive experience with J2SE 1.4/1.5 (core packages);

Experience designing and implementing core frameworks for large organizations

Exposure to high volume, high-availability web applications. Experience with servlets and JSP.

Strong interpersonal and communications skills, excellent analytical skills, flexibility, ability to plan and organize, responsiveness, creativity.

Knowledge and experience in high performance computing environments.

Demonstrated ability to perform in demanding multi-tasking environments.
