Short Description:
Plans, manages, oversees application development projects project personnel. Application area include: Quality, R D, Commercial, Sales Marketing, Internet, and Finance.
Complete Description:
This role is responsible for management and planning of resource utilization including project managers and business systems analysts. The role is additionally responsible for monitoring and managing project; scope, costs, timelines, quality.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Primary role in the management of development projects. Will work in this capacity to:
a. Oversee/Manage multiple concurrent project implementations
b. Communicate effectively within all levels of the IT
c. Effectively plan resources to meet project demands
2. Demonstrating a fiscal responsibility by
a. Maintaining operating budgets
b. Monitoring project performance against budgets and taking corrective actions to meet plan
3. Ensure compliance to IT policies, standards, practices, and security measures to ensure effective and consistent information processing operations and to safeguard information resources.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Ensures that application systems associated with financial controls meet the compliance requirements as set forth in the corporation s Sarbanes-Oxley program.
2. Ensure that the application systems associated with FDA, DEA and other Regional or Country specific controls meeting the compliance requirements as set forth by these regulatory and governmental bodies.

MAGNITUDE AND REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS:
1. Staff Size:
Staff will range from 15 to 30 (including contractors).

3. Reporting Relationships:
This position reports to the Director of Solution Delivery and Integration

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
Broad knowledge across multiple business functions - required
Experience with negotiation with external vendors - required
Background experience with technical aspects of application development nice to have
Extensive project management experience on a wide variety of business applications required
Understanding of Life Sciences industry with experience in regulated systems development required
Knowledge of Sarbanes-Oxley as it relates to general accounting and operational controls nice to have


EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE:
The knowledge and skills required for this position are typically acquired in 10 to 15 years of experience in managing one or more IT functions. Undergraduate degree required.
