PURPOSE OF JOB
Fulfills the technical leadership role in providing technology solutions to meet business needs.

B. JOB DUTIES
1. Implements technology solutions at a detailed level by applying industry
knowledge, best practices and architectural guidance to ensure system
functionality and cost efficiencies.
2. Analyzes technology at a detailed level to recommend its effective use and
fit within the USAA processing environment.
3. Serves al the lead troubleshooter to diagnose systems technology issues in
development and operational environments.
4. Provides leadership as Project Architect on relevant IT projects to ensure
architectural compliance.
5. Defines, documents and communicates the USAA target architecture, standards
and best practices for a specific technology or solution domain.
6. Serves as a mentor to operational and development staffs.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
IT related college degree or equivalent experience. Extensive experience in
technology application development.

PREFERRED:
Fulfills the technical leadership role (IT Architect) in providing technology solutions to meet business needs. Experience developing enterprise-wide architectures. Experience researching industry advancements, evaluating emerging technologies, and providing recommendations to improve technical solutions, deliver business capabilities and automation at an enterprise level. Experience providing technical leadership for complex projects. Possess excellent interpersonal communication and coordination skills with both business and IT communities
