C# LEAD DEVELOPER (CONTRACT) FOR LEADING BIOMED COMPANY IN CANOGA PARK

Job Summary:
Participate in the team responsible for developing the next generation of bio-informatics application software (Project Resolution). Develop test new software programs, create project specific documentation as required by ISO and create installation programs for the software application. In addition, the developer will work with the internal software team and assist with design and development (programming) of corporate or internal business applications, such as order processing, inventory management, accounting, reports, etc.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Reports to MIS Director
The duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
1. Participate in the team responsible for developing the next generation of bio-informatics application software used for analyses.
2. Specify, develop, unit test, and implement new software programs as well as program changes for application software systems.
3. Assist in developing a concept prototype for the new application.
4. Create project specific documentation as required by ISO and other regulatory standards, including requirements specifications, design documents, use cases, and test plans.
5. Support development of end-user documentation and test scripts.
6. Create installation programs for product software as assigned.
7. Work with the internal software team and assist with programming of corporate or internal business applications, such as order processing, inventory management, reports, etc.
Essential Functions:
Work as a part of the project team in providing optimal software solutions within the given constraints.
Contacts and Relations:
Ongoing coordination and communication with other members of the team including project leaders, programmers, business analysts, test/QA analysts, and documentation specialists. Actively participate in project team meetings and review sessions.
Accountability:
Maintain confidentiality of all sensitive and proprietary data.
Provide reliable status reports on project tasks.
Follow corporate quality policy and departmental ISO procedures.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/Training Experience:
Degree in Computer Science, or Engineering
Minimum 10 years of hands on software development experience
Demonstrable understanding of object-oriented programming
Hands-on experience with C# and .Net application development.
Must have successfully completed .NET implementations
Microsoft certifications for developers desired
Knowledge of: Expert C# programming
Required:
10 years programming development
Hands on experience C# programming exp.
Hands-on experience (3 years) with .Net
Experience using Visual Studio 2003 / 2005
Experience with WinForms and/or Smart Clients
Hands-on Experience and in-depth understanding of SQL Server 2000 and/or 2005 (including stored procedures)
Desired:
Hands-on experience with various programming controls such as
o Infragistics
o ChartFX
o ComponentOne
Experience with Microsoft Application Blocks including Composite UI Application Block
Experience with Crystal Reports and SQL Reporting
Experience with Nunit / Nant / Automated Build environments
Understanding of the concepts and implementation of workflow and state engines
Familiarity with MSF (Microsoft Solutions Framework)
Knowledge of User Interface Design
Experience with Bio-Informatics applications
Ability to:
Specify, plan, and code functioning software to solve existing user problems.
Ability to understand and maintain code written by other people.
Ability to maintain flexibility with respect to project work and environment.
Ability to work independently and report project status to management as required.
Ability to communicate clearly with wide range of individuals at various corporate levels.

CONTRACT DURATION: 3+ MONTHS
$80-95/hour
