Albin Engineering Services, Inc. is seeking an experienced Sr. Embedded Software Engineer to work on a 3 month contract to Direct Hire/Full Time.
Responsibilities include:
- The design and implementation of real-time embedded firmware / hardware to manage motion axes and other diverse control and monitoring functions in embedded components for the medical linear accelerator.
- Work with mechanical and electrical engineers to identify and document firmware requirements.
- Debug, verify and validate embedded components and support continuous improvement initiatives throughout the engineering organization.
Qualifications include
- BS or MS in Electrical Engineering with work experience in the design of systems encompassing mechanical, electronics, and embedded software
- 5 plus years experience in embedded firmware development in C and/ or C++
- 2 plus years using commercial RTOS w/ UML and object oriented design/ programming
- 3 plus years working experience with TI DSPs (2812), DSP BIOS, and 6 plus years with LabView
- Experience of real time programming - OO and UML skills a plus
- Solid hardware and firmware debugging experience (oscilloscopes, logic analyzer, reading schematics)
- Strong organizational, verbal and writing skills
