Clinical System Analyst

This position performs a variety of IT networking functions to support clinical application and systems in our Radiation Oncology Division (ROC).
Job Description:
Detailed knowledge of Radiation Oncology Systems (configurations, requirements, interrelationships, etc.). Working knowledge of Radiation Oncology Software programs.
Plan and Support Upgrades and New Systems: Review upgrade checklists and system readiness documents. Evaluate and make recommendations regarding hardware selections. Assist and coordinate as part of the upgrade team with vendors and staff.
Monitor License Needs: Citrix, Terminal Services, Impac, etc.
Monitor Network Utilization/Performance/Troubleshoot/Evaluate Event Logs (non help desk issues) i.e., system and sequencer lockups, performance, log on errors, import problems (adobe professional). Etc.
Coordinate with vendors and other members of the RAS IT team to facilitate Radiation Oncology needs and performance goals.
Review and evaluate (new and current) system requirements.
Perform hardware maintenance and rebuilds.
Oversee manual and automated back-ups.
Track trends and report issues and recommendations to Radiation Oncology team.
Install System Enhancements: Stedman’s, Dragon, editing ini files, fax server etc.
Perform budget planning with CIO: Hardware and Software
Programming Support – Charge capture, export, stats, and special reports.

Requirements:
B.S degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent.
3-5 years IT experience including integrated network systems interfaces.
Working knowledge of clinical software applications, Novell, Microsoft, and Citrix Operation Systems.
Prior experience with radiation oncology operations, radiation therapy treatment planning, simulation, radiation therapy treatments, and PAC preferred.

· Philips RTP, EMR Link – Pinnacle scripting program into Impac, Argus Database – QA Database, RadCalc-Computerized hand check system, RIT- Film dosimetry system, MapCheck, SQL database-programming system, New Daily QA devices and database, CBCT and image archiving, GK Planning System-support and import of images, Citrix Farm – monitoring and load balancing, Impac Application Server and Associated Modules-Metrix, Precis, Mediation, Escribe, Escan, etc. Formulary, Dicom and Namer Server & Associated Software, Vidar Scanners, Calypso, ExacTrac.
Pending Systems:
· Radiation Oncology PACS, EMR Initiative, Dicom Editor, Additional Impac Modules – ESI-Labs, Escribe Fax Server, etc.
